Sometimes grief, confusion and frustration can be a heavy and thick cloud. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that a lot when my body isn’t working right. This painting tell that narrative, in a a thick paint with lots of layers under it.
We don’t choose the bodies we are born in. The skin color that covers us, the organs that make us breathe, the nerves that make us feel. Sometimes your body can feel at odds with yourself, like a prison. This series is about that.
