Prison no. 10

1,000.00

This is a self portrait you could say. My brain, overwhelmed with doctors visits and disappointment and feeling lost in it all. I’m learning that it’s okay to be in this spot. It isn’t my “forever” but it is my now. Be okay with the now. Be okay with the messy self portrait. You will be ok.

We don’t choose the bodies we are born in. The skin color that covers us, the organs that make us breathe, the nerves that make us feel. Sometimes your body can feel at odds with yourself, like a prison. This series is about that.
